The conference is organised by the South-African chapter of the Association of Old Crows (AOC) and sponsored by CSIR Defencetek, Avitronics and SAAB. The AOC is a professional organisation that promotes electronic defence or information superiority to maintain security. Membership of the AOC includes scientists, engineers, managers, operators, educators, and military personnel in all grades.
Several international speakers will share their experiences gained in peace missions in other theatres. Local speakers will provide the in-depth knowledge and understanding of African conditions and culture that are needed to gain an edge and ensure the success of any Peace Support Operation in Africa.
Attendance will be invaluable to all current and future participants in African Peace Support Operations.
